Emma Bonino, honorary president of Women for Expo and Marta Dassù, Executive President of Women for Expo have presented the Women’s Week during Women for Expo, a project of Milano Expo 2015 in partnership with the Foreign and international cooperation Ministry and Arnoldo and Alberto Mondadori Foundation,

For the first time women are in the center of a Universal Exposition.

“I am happy to announce – said Emma Bonino -the the BIE is positively evaluating i  the Italian Government proposition to let Women for Expo become a permanent project of all the forthcoming universal Exposition.

Women for Expo considers women – that represent the 43% of agricultural workforce – the protagonists of Nourishing the Planet, Power for Life theme.

From June 29th to July 10th Women’s Weeks encourage to reflect on how much feminine dimension is related to the Universal Exposition theme, with two weeks of meeting and events. The program alternates conferences and debates to moments of entertainment – reading, meetings, shows and performances – that consider nourishment as an enrichment for mind and body, involving women artists, writers, actresses, singers. More than 200 delegates from all over the world are going to participate.

“Wounded to Death”  in going to be performed on June 30th, in the setting of Women for Expo. Achieved with the contribution of Giorgio Armani, the show will have on stage togheter with Lella Costa, Serena Dandini, Emma Bonino and Orsetta De Rossi , the general commissioners of Expo and many other personalities from all over the world, representing Serena Dandini’s stories about the tragedy of femicide.
